When the world tour comes to Southern California, everyone and I mean EVERYONE heads to Trestles to see what’s up with the top 45. The beach is lined with so many people it’s hard to find a place to sit, let alone set up a 600mm lens and shoot the guys out in the water. The surfing community expects to see them pushing the limits of what they can do on a piece of foam. Moments like this show how an open face gouge of a turn can still put your surfing into perspective. Here we have Taj Burrow from Australia blowing up at the famed cobblestone reef.
