Isolation

If no one is out and a barrel goes by unridden, does it spit? Usually this spot is heaving on nearly dry reef, however this day was very playful and forgiving…for the most part. I was out earlier in the day by myself while the boys were on the boat relaxing. I was getting the best barrels I have ever had with no one around to witness besides the locals fishing on the reef. The locals were singing songs and hooting at me every time I came out of one. It was a very surreal feeling. It was one of those moments in my life that truly felt like a dream. Even looking back at it now I still have the feeling that it was all manifested in my imagination.
